Blankey Goes To Hollywood
Our big screen debut is coming up! Universal Pictures tapped Blankey (aka designer and knit maven Sasha Ross) to create a custom knitted tuxedo– you heard us– for the upcoming comedy Five Year Engagement. The tuxedo is sported by our longtime favorite, Jason Segel, who we’ve been crushing on since Freaks & Geeks. It even made the trailer:

Sasha designed the tux with an eye toward the absurd using a mixture of wool and silk, with alpaca and mohair details. The trick was to make a solid, well made piece that looked like it was patched together by a well-intentioned but bumbling novice.
